Pre-K Apple Tour

 

This tour is a perfect introduction to “Life on the Farm”.  A brief, guided walking tour out into the orchard through the trees where the kids will hear on a basic level how an apple grows.  We’ll reinforce colors and letters along the way.  Then off to the “apple bedroom” (the cooler where the apples are stored) and a look at where the cider is pressed.

Apple Tour

This tour provides some rich content to accent what kids/adults may or may not already know about a working apple orchard.  This guided walking tour takes the group out in the orchard to discuss:the four seasons, pollination, friend/enemies in nature, harvesting and what becomes of the apples we grow.  We’ll take a first hand look at some of the tools we use to harvest the apples.  A stop at the “apple bedroom” (the cooler where the apples are stored), the cider room and the observational beehive are all included in this tour.

Pumpkin Tour

If you are looking to jump on the “fall band wagon” then our pumpkin wagon trip is just what you are looking for!!!  Take your group for a wagon ride down to the pumpkin patch  where everyone will pick out their prized 2 to3 lb pumpkin! Then once you’ve found the perfect pumpkin the wagon ride will bring you back to the staging area.  OCTOBER  ONLY

  • Small Pumpkin from patch
  • A cup of cider
  • cider donut "bites"
  • A coloring book or pencil
Cost: $6 per (Teachers are free---But are not provided with pumpkin/cider/cookie/souvenir)
Estimated time: 30 minutes Please provide us with an accurate number of chaperones so we can have enough wagon drivers on hand . If extra parents show up   Students and teachers have top priority on the rides .
